I use the 12-season system, a more advanced version of the classic four-season approach. In this system, each of the four main seasons is divided into three sub-seasons.
The 12-season system considers more than warm–cool or soft–bright distinctions. It also addresses lightness–depth and which of these characteristics is most dominant in the individual.
Many people do not fully carry the qualities of one season; they can show transitional features between different seasons. By taking these transitions into account, the 12-season system offers more balanced and precise results.
